1. lovely day

    technically, according to the trusty training plan, i was to run 6 miles this morning.  but, i just wanted a few extra minutes sleep. plus i think i deserved a mellow run before i dive back into following some sort of plan. i don’t want it to every become UNfun. so, i slept a few extra minutes, and decided to run to one of two point, depending on what pace i settled in at.

    side note, this girl is NOT CAPABLE of being given decisions. given the choice to take the shorter route, no matter how i’m feeling, i’ll take the shorter route.  today i was feeling pretty awesome, until i started to approach the first option to change the route, then i am real good at making excuses for taking it. had i mentally committed to a different exit out of the park, no big deal.

    anyway, sun was out, and i really enjoyed being outside with everyone else. there were so many groups out running together. made me miss my buddies! i also found myself wondering what they were training for.  and a few folks wearing their national half shirts and i couldn’t help but feel a sense of camaraderie with them. 

    tomorrow i’ll be hopping back on the training plan to get ready for the ride to nowhere, happy i took this mental break.
