what a day! the weather was amazing. a bit warm, but after the winter we had, i was pleased as punch to soak up a little vitamin d.
long story short, i reached my goals for the day. i think the only thing i wish was different would have been to achieve negative splits instead of slowing down. this comes from training and experience. i understand this and i can promise i’m not spending time fretting over this. cause i’m not. but, i am aknowleging that there is always room for improvement.
i’m stoked for the next part of my training and can officially say i’m addicted to the half marathon distance. i’m sure i’ll talk myself into a marathon soon enough. i can’t actually believe i’m saying that. but i am.
also, thank you.
i suppose now is a good time to mention i agreed to ride 100 miles of nowhere on may 8. YIKES. this will serve as a fundraiser to the infinitely more challenging hilly philly livestrong century in aug. and will catepult my cycling training into high gear. now.
onward!
