    yup, i’m over it.i’m over snow days. i WANT TO GO BACK TO WORK. actually, i want my dvr back fully loaded with my sunday, monday and tuesday night tv, please.

    i don’t even know if this will post. i’m managing a tiny window of a single bar of internet service stolen borrowed from an unsuspecting neighbor.

    had i not gotten out yesterday for a run, i KNOW i’d be scratching my legs off by now.

    let me rewind…

    friday night i lost cable and internet around midnight.

    saturday, we played in the new snow, walking miles and giving our legs a good workout. the snow was absolutely still fun. LOTS of fun. i had trainer ben and 3 miles on the schedule, but missed them both for obvious reasons.

    stats
    6/7ish miles (?) in the slushy snow

    sunday, the sun was out, it was a fabulous day. except when i went to the gym. it was open for a few hours and i think everyone walked on over. there was a line 12 deep for the treadmill. i got on, and ran the WORST 3 miles of my treadmilling career.  i stopped 3 times. i was also feeling under the weather (sort of fevery, but without the fever), but it was horrendous.  absolutely horrible.  my legs were fine. my lungs were fine. my BRAIN was NOT. i had 6 on the schedule, but was happy to get 3, even aweful, miles in.

    stats
    dreadmill: 3 miles, 1.5 incline 6-7.4 with 3 (THREE!!!!!) walking breaks; 30 min

    monday, scheduled off day, plus i was feeling even worse than sunday so i decided not to push it. still no fever, but the same bizaar aches that usually accompany one. the squeeze and i went on about a 4 mile hile in snowy rock creek park. it was beautiful. and good reminder that i wouldn’t be running down there for a long time.

    4 miles hike in rock creek

    tuesday, holy cripes, im going insane, ANOTHER snow day? one was fun, but two?  i needed to get out. i decided the best bet was a out and back route on only busy streets with apartment buildings that were likely sporting plowed sidewalks.  i headed north bc i always head south and i needed a change of scenery.  so, up CT i went.  for the most part, totally clear sidewalks. exceptions were the bridges, but that was to be expected.  it was slow moving and i kept the clock going bc there were too many obsticles to really consider them as natural stops. crossing streets, as roosk said, was a pain, but i was just happy to be out.  three miles in, i crossed the street and headed back down.  it was so lovely ot be out. my legs felt so happy. its amazing. you’re right h, after not very long, we have done such good work conditioning our bodies!  by the time i got home, i had a healthy glow and wet feet.  i iced up, showered and got back to my internetless life reading crappy james patterson novels.

    wednesday, ANOTHER FRACKING SNOW DAY. i should be happy, i know. but i’m not. i’m bored to tears.  still no interwebs or cable. i have read almost a book a day.  i’m started by seeing how many sit-ups i could do today.  i think i understand why prisoners get so buff. i got bored of sit-ups and picked up my weights. still reading, but lunging and pumping iron at the same time.  its something, right?
